Should Obama be guilty, by association, of sharing the same feelings of his pastor? No. Not in an America where Black boys get put in jail for beating up White boys in Jena, La.; where Black men get pulled over and beaten by the L.A.P.D. for speeding on the highway; where Black men in Tuskegee were injected with syphilis, an STD, by the federal government; where Black men still earn 20 percent less than their White male counterparts on average; and where Black men still have difficulty in hailing cabs in New York City – can a brother get a taxi cab?
