As Senior Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Bernard Bell is responsible
for local sales and marketing efforts relating to the channel's distribution to
cable and satellite operators.
Bell was most recently Vice President of Affiliate Sales for Tribune
Media Services, where from 2000-2002 he led all sales efforts for the Cable TV Publishing
Group. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Sales for ICTV, a Silicon Valley-based
interactive television company.
Before joining ICTV in 1998, he was Senior Director of Affiliate Sales
for the Home and Garden Television Network (HGTV), where he spent five years. In
1992, Bernard launched his cable career as a Sales Executive for the Discovery Channel.
He began his professional business career as an Account Sales Executive for IBM.
Bell is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
from which he holds both a B.A. and an M.B.A. Active in industry affairs, he is
a current board member and the former Vice President of the National Association
of Minorities in Cable. Bell is also a member of CTAM.
