Bob Buenting joined TV One as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TV One in October 2003.

Previously, he served from 1999-2003 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Discovery Networks U.S., the largest and most profitable business unit of Discovery Communications operating Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, Discovery Health Channel, The Health Channel, Discovery On-line, and six Digital Networks as well as representing BBC-America.

He was a vice president of CBS Corporation from 1996-1998, serving first as Vice president Finance for the CBS Radio Group and then as Vice President Finance of Strategic Planning. Mr. Buenting began his career in finance with the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, moving to the company’s broadcasting company (Group W) in 1982, where he served in a number of senior positions, including Vice President and CFO from 1992-1996. He holds a B.A. in business and M.A. in economics from Virginia Polytechnic University.
