Katrice N. Jones, Vice
President of Digital Media and Creative Services at TV One, leads the channel's
multi-platform digital media strategy including web, mobile and broadband as well
as oversees the company's digital content, design, production, marketing and partnerships.
In addition, Jones oversees the strategic planning and brand execution of off-air
creative services deliverables.
With over 15 years of creative
management experience, Jones is an Internet veteran who has helped pioneer numerous
industry firsts. As an Internet consultant for Fortune 500 companies, Jones managed
the launch of numerous large-scale web initiatives. From interactive TV
pilots to e-commerce initiatives, Jones has worked with a variety of senior
management teams to help define their Internet brand and business strategy. Some
web initiatives include Kelloggs.com, USAA.com, and Nike.com.
As the head of programming
for PowerUp Online, founded by AOL's Steve Case, Jones led the creative
and technical direction for four web portals providing educational content to
inner city youth. In a prior creative management role, Jones was
responsible for conceptualizing and launching the award-winning PBSkids.org becoming
the "most-visited children's site on the Internet." Before that in 1996, Jones served as a founding
member and online editor of CompuServe's WOW! Kids consumer web portal.
Jones' career began as
a television producer/host for a Fox TV affiliate, where she produced and hosted daily
TV segments and half-hour specials during her four-year tenure. As a winner
of the Academy TV Arts & Sciences fellowship, Jones served as a management trainee
at Fox Kids Network.
