Susan Banks is Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services for TV One. She
is responsible for development and implementation of the network’s consumer
marketing and brand strategy, including on-air promotion and consumer marketing.
She is also responsible for coordinating brand consistency across all consumer and
business promotion initiatives, including ad sales and affiliate marketing.
Banks joined TV One from the CBS Television Network, where since 1992
she was Director of On-air Promotion in charge of planning, scheduling and creating
promotions for the network’s daytime and children’s programming lineup.
As director of promotion at CBS, she managed multimedia, multi-city promotional
campaigns, produced major awards ceremonies and developed marketing campaigns for
significant broadcast network programs and initiatives.
Banks has also made substantial contributions to industry organizations
and events. Over the past decade, she has regularly served as a segment producer
for the Daytime Emmy Awards and has served as Executive Producer for the Creative
Arts Emmy ceremony. She also served as Executive Producer for a series of daytime
specials called “CBS Soap Breaks.”
