Internship:
Affiliate Sales & Marketing
Location: Los Angeles, CA and Silver Spring, MD

Affiliate Sales is responsible for growing TV One distribution by television providers, including Cable Satellite and Telco.  The sales and marketing department work closely together in strategizing ways to get the cable systems in various markets to carry TV One’s programming.  The markets are comprised of the Southeast, Northeast, Central and Western regions.

Requirements

* Must be a junior or senior
* Marketing or Business major
* Must have excellent writing skills and attention to detail
* Must receive academic credit
* Must have strong research skills

Skills/Knowledge to Gain

Intern should gain knowledge and/or skills in sales and marketing concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

* Take part in the formulation, planning, and execution of Affiliate Sales and Marketing activities
* Support marketing campaigns by ensuring all marketing material are distributed and shipped in a timely manner to publications and affiliates
* Prepare marketing presentations
* Responsible for inventory collateral material
* Manage vendor relations
