TV One Airs Hurricane Relief Telethon

In solidarity with the victims of the horrible Hurricane Katrina disaster, TV One will be participating along with several other Cable and Broadcast Networks in the simulcast of "Shelter From the Storm: A Concert For the Gulf Coast."

Shelter From the Storm: A Concert For the Gulf Coast, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres will be a one-hour commercial free simulcast from 8:00pm - 9:00pm EDT on Friday, Sept. 9. 

Joel Gallen, who produced the unprecedented "America: A Tribute to Heroes" telethon in September 2001 in the aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy, will executive produce the special, which will feature musical performances and appearances by celebrities from the world of film, television and music.

Alicia Keys, Paul Simon, Rod Stewart and Sheryl Crow are among the performers initially scheduled to appear on SHELTER FROM THE STORM.
