Agent John Taylor is a firm but fair parole officer in Indianapolis’ largest parole district. He has a general caseload (called a “drug and thug”), which includes everything from murder charges on down to theft. Taylor wants his clients to succeed in finishing parole, but also in life. After finishing college, where he studied law enforcement, Taylor started working at IYC, a medium-security prison in Plainfield, Indiana. He’s been with the parole office for 15 years and has spent nearly 20 years working for the Indiana Department of Correction.
