“Love & Hip Hop” Season 3 Premiere Party

“Love & Hip Hop” star Mendeecees Harris has been juggling a lot of legal trouble lately, though the most noteworthy allegations leveled against him had been charges of “sexual assault, child endangerment and promoting prostitution” concerning a 15-year-old girl who was the daughter of his apparent then-girlfriend. He was accused of allegedly blackmailing the young girl by threatening to reveal secrets of her rape at the age of eight.

In testimony, Mendeeces refuted these claims:

“I never had a relationship with her, she never extended herself,” said Harris, taking the stand in his own defense. “She didn’t play basketball, she didn’t play Playstation, didn’t want to go to the movies.

“She always walked around the house like she had an attitude,” he said.

“That’s the truth – never, never – I never committed none of them acts to that girl in my life.”

He has since been found not guilty on all charges (via TMZ):

Harris’ attorney released a statement after the decision, saying, "My client and his family are jubilant that these charges are now behind him … This is real drama, not TV.”

But Harris isn’t out of the woods yet — he’s currently awaiting another trial in New York, where he’s charged with conspiracy to distribute 5 kilos of cocaine. He faces upwards of 5 years in prison if convicted.
