Chad Ochocinco And Evelyn Lozada Wedding

To those of you who said that the marriage between Chad Ochocinco and Evelyn Lozada wouldn’t last: Congratulations, your cynicism reigns supreme.

The football player and reality star allegedly headbutted his reality star wife during an argument that followed the discovery of a receipt for condoms.

ESPN has more:

According to an arrest affidavit, Johnson’s wife said she was taking groceries into their home when she found the receipt in the car’s trunk. When the two were seated back in the car, they began talking about the receipt and their marriage. That’s when Johnson got upset and head-butted his wife, the report says.

Lozada ran to a neighbor’s house and called police. A responding officer said he saw a 3-inch cut on Lozada’s forehead, according to the affidavit.

Johnson did not have any visible marks or bruises. When questioned by police, he confirmed there was an argument over the receipt, but said his wife had head-butted him.

The officer, based on interviews and observations, charged Johnson with simple domestic battery.

If convicted, Johnson faces a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine, though he could also receive community service, probation or anger management classes.

Lozada, who is on the reality show "Basketball Wives," was treated at a hospital for a cut to her forehead, Engle said.

Team officials were "aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering relevant information," Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said. The team is scheduled to hold practice early Sunday afternoon.

Yeah, Chad has been officially released by the Dolphins.

Now, obviously the truth will come out as to who headbutt whom (I’m gonna go with the one who has actual lacerations, personally), but in the meantime I’d like to express my annoyance with the immediate reactions to the story.

Oh they must have done that for the show.

Oh, well, she IS aggressive.

I mean, that’s what the whore gets.

Okay, I think it’s a bit far fetched to assume that he would willingly give up his football career to plug a show that’s only gotten an eight-episode order on a basic cable channel. $300,000 is a nice chunk of change, but that’s not exactly worth him giving up his life.

Regardless of how “aggressive” you find Eve, that’s no excuse to headbutt a person…allegedly. If she in fact hit him first and he were to be injured, charge her, too. However, you domestic violence apologists sicken me. Get some perspective, read some stats. Try to think harder.

Oh, and being a “whore” doesn’t warrant abuse. Fall through a trap door.
